I just invented a real cure for anxiety.
WHEN ANXIOUS, PUT A SUPER COLD METAL OR GLASS WATER BOTTLE OR ICE OR ANY VERY COLD 12OZ CAN...
When you're anxious, put that on the small of your back, right along your spine. On your bare skin. HOLD IT THERE and you'll calm down.
You can put it on your heart too. That may work better for you.
Take it off the moment! you feel unanxious.
WHY?:
Because unexpected or drastic coldness, being ice-bucket dunked or jumping into a frozen lake, etc... makes you release anxiety causing hormones.
If you don't have anxiety, turn the shower on cold instead of hot by accident. YOU IMMEDIATELY HAVE ANXIETY.
To turn the "on" switch in your head, releasing the anxiety causing hormones, when you don't want them, to "off" -- when you are anxious you have unwanted hormones being released because you are afraid of something, you just can't identify it -- to turn that "on = anxious" switch to "off = calm" switch, please try what I suggested.
When you are anxious REVERSE engineer the procedure going on in your instinctual thinking = your subconscious.
Do something to yourself that SHOULD cause a calm person to be anxious.
FLASH FREEZE yourself WHILE you are anxious and you will make yourself not anxious. I just stumbled upon it ten minutes ago.
I'm anxious = butterflies, or was, a little, because I am going back to my favorite place today, Washington Square Park, and the metal bottle of cold water I take rolled into my exposed back when I sat down on the bed.
THE COLD METAL FELT GREAT! when it should have caused me to jump from the coldness. I didn't jump at all.
Instead my anxiety went instantly to zero.
