The Patriarchy of Hair

So you know boys like girls with long hair. 

I don't blame you for wanting short hair. Long hair is a pain. It's hotter when it's hot by a lot.

It's a patriachry because I want short hair for myself. Because it's cooler when it's hot. And most boys are utilitarian about things, which is why men usually choose to have shorter hair.

And they "demand" you have long hair. Or prefer it. Most heterosexual boys think girls with longer hair are more attractive.

Why?

One reason is you are easier to identify. "Woman" is what I think when I see long hair at first thought.

But for practical purposes it's not the length but the difference that matters.

Men get war. Women get love. Is the summary of my biological desire. So to see you quickly and choose love is helpful.

TO US.

To the ones who MADE the rules - are still I am speaking of the change I am making.

Men have been in charge since time began and have gotten to tell women what to do. Including "I like you better with long hair".

Which isn't fair. Why should you be five degrees hotter - the temperature kind - just because we find it asthetically pleasing? It's not fair. I don't like it.

But I still like long hair. Biological stuff isn't fair. It just is. So in solidarity and to not be a hypocrite, I will have long hair. Am growing it.

Paparazzi Arrives but Not You Yet

I am aboard a subway that is late. Not for me -- the air conditioning is right on time. My "The Park" day was fun! As always. I stared down a loud boy from 50 yards away and he stopped being loud. Then I  kept staring so he'd not repeat smashing something into a trash can and roaring about I didn't care. He saw me stare at him. It was a "deer in a gunsight" look. Although I've never hunted an animal. Are men animals? He jumped and got scared. I enjoyed that. I hit him dead center in the forehead with my anger energy and he saw it and felt it, and flinched.  I kept staring at him for way longer than was necessary in case he wanted to say something to me. He didn't. I got some press tonight! I saw a flash a few times. Someone took pictures. Probably a man unfortunately but I didn't look up.
