Explain it to her this way

I am Leonardo and she is my patron.

At some point my adventures will pay, off. From outside sources. When or how i cannot say. But it's a goal. Because having her act the cun+ and tightening the treasury flow fucks up my plans.

So I want, to be financially independent. But under my terms, not The Man's.

Off the record, she likes me beholden to her. If I wasn't she fears I would forget she's alive and trust me, it's tempting.
