"I am a handsome young man".
I say that in the mirror.
Took me three days to believe it.
As in, I know what the facial appearance of a generic "handsome young man" is.
I said it in the mirror. At first I didn't believe myself as i looked back unhandsome.
Then I said it over and over while changing my face. Opening my eyes. Raising my eyebrows. Changing it in any way I could think of until the slot machine reels landed on handsome.
Then I kept saying it with that face.
Now I believe it. And am. Because I see it not lying to myself or deluding myself. I changed my face. Made myself more handsome until I was officially.
