Put just the hair part of your head under a cold shower.
Don't let your neck or body get wet.
Notice how you don't think you're cold?
Even now as my head is numby wet under a fan I don't think I'm cold.
But one drop dripping onto my bear chest and "brrr".
There's not a good thermometer in our skull.
We use our headless body to measure degrees and adjust the settings.
But a cold body and a hot brain is very dangerous. Because the thermometer says cold. So we make ourselves hotter.
And our warmer brain swells and takes damage.
Even under normal conditions, if you think a lot without exercising, your head, but not your body, gets hot.
It's heating itself from high energy processing.
A lightbulb.
But without a good thermometer up there you don't notice. The rest of you feels no warmer.
So your brain expands.
Pushes against your skull.
Headache.
*****
Now remember or try this:
Get heated up when it's cold with no hat.
Except for your ears you can enjoy that indefinitely.
Your head is super cooled from the outside in by air and warmed from the inside out by blood.
"Refreshing"
Is how that feels.
Refrigerating just your brain let's it fire with more watts without it swelling.
More energetic thinking without consequences.
We love high energy.
Keep your skull cold like Coors
