The Fidi Hotel Congressional Review

ANGELIKA RODRIGUEZ for some office, sometime! (independent)

To make a long story short, I got a phone call from a very nice girl (as I am a nice boy) who worked with me, over the phone. And we solved the issues from both directions.

She runs the rooms. I could tell.

Cool.

I am leaving this up as a teaching tool. Could I have gotten my money back another way? Not sure.

Was it fun doing it that way?

Yep.

SUMMARY: I got about half my money back I thought I was owed. Now I feel... not upset at this hotel.

A bit upset at myself for staying in a hotel on NYEve and not expecting an exponential rate hike.

It may take longer than I thought to beat these people.

Cause celebre here I come.

Hello girls and boys!

Have you ever had a big company rip you off and think it's their right?

I am experiencing that right now.

This hotel in the Financial District, go figure, has overcharged me to the tune of $800. I let them know several hours ago. They have yet to reply to the meat of the matter.

Find all correspondence below the story.

In an hour and forty minutes or less I will check out. I am enjoying the plush accommodation while conjuring up non-violent and legal problems for the management and ownership of the hotel.

I am awaiting a call back from the NY Department of State division of corporations for all of the business information about this... business.

Once I know who owns this place officially, I will apply pressure from the top down. Which I prefer. Employees are slaves and I don't enjoy being mean to slaves.

Their masters however I am no friend of.

Who are the slavesmasters of The Fidi Hotel and how much would they rather give me my $800 back than deal with me forever?

That I will find out. I also have a nice slow train ride back to Virginia (for two weeks before it's back here for good) to work on this.

I am hoping that the employee whose job it is to make this decision, will just say "alright".
