A Crazy Theory of Life
Try this one:
When conception occurs, the egg and the sperm fight for dominance of the egg.
If the sperm wins - if the sperm takes over the egg and makes it his own, it's a boy. If the egg wins - if the egg beats back the sperm's attack and uses the dead sperm's energy to grow itself, it's a girl.
The male "essence" is the sperm. The female "essence" is the egg.
If they agree to share the space, they are fraternal twins. Identical male twins is one sperm with the inferior help of a second sperm conquering the egg.
I can't explain identical female twins. I can't explain more than one girl per pregnancy.
So it sounded good at the beginning and now the science'ish explanation I have for how girls and boys happen to be one or the other falls apart.
Still. I like the idea that every woman is an egg who beat back the conquering of her essence by a sperm man who wanted to use her for himself.
P.S. I wouldn't have children for all of Elon Musk's money.
P.P.S. Something really good happened to me last night and is still happening. I hope it continues forever.
