Open Letter to the P.S.L.

Hey Everybody,

I am not coming to today's meeting in Washington Heights. Instead I want to say a few things to you this way. I hope you don't mind.

I applaud your enthusiasm and your goals. You want our government to stop beating up on the most vulnerable and doing the bidding of the most successful. I agree.

You're wasting your time with everything you're doing.

Nothing bothers Donald Trump and MAGA. They will continue to do what they've begun no matter how much you complain. They own all three branches of government. You can get no redress for your grievances. 

Yet they must be stopped.

How?

There are only two ways. Revolution and election. That's it. Either you have to violently throw them out of power, or you have to vote them out of power. 

You are not planning to do either and I do not support the former. 

Socialists, progressives, leftists, etc. have been trying to make the Super-Rich give up their power, money, land, resources and things for a very long time. Since the Gilded Age. 

They have never been successful.

Almost. In the Great Depression, one politician had them by the scruff of the neck until he was assassinated. Huey Long. He invented the solution. 

1. Be genuinely intentioned to help the bottom of society by taking from the top of society. 

2. Be an absolutely unstoppable political force working within the republican system.

If you can tell me another time in history where the left seriously threatened the power of the right and retained democratic structures, I will listen. 

You can't. So when you all continue to do the exact same things as your foremothers, I say you're wasting your time. 

The only way to make the powers-that-be, do what you want, is for you to become the powers-that-be.

You have to win an election, and use the authority of that office to do what you think is right.

A lot of you reading this can win. Why aren't you running? To stand on a subway platform and preach to the choir about how much Trump sucks is silly. Get that choir to put you into power. 

You are going to put me into power. If you want done what you say you want done, I will do it. I father fuckin' promise you I will shove MAGA right up Trump's ass. The billionaires will hemorrhage wealth for all the tired, poor and huddled masses. All you gotta do is get me some votes in the 10th. 

If you live in the 10th and want to do something instead of complain, run for ANY office and I will back you up and you will win. As an independent please. Parties of all stripes are b.a.d.

If you know enough civics to wonder how one big young Congressman is going to defeat all three MAGA branches of government, good wonder. To make a long story short: I will be the first. Then I will bring a lot more of you along with me and we, will, take over, democratically, the government. Change the laws. The End.
